| Cytotron Therapy treats Osteoarthritis of the knee and other joints by regenerating and repairing the cartilage without surgery, injections or pain killers. |
The new Cytotron Therapy at Sibia Medical Centre, Ludhiana in North India is a breakthrough in treating osteoarthritis patients with tissue engineering. Research of the efficacy of high-power electromagnetic beams in the treatment of osteoarthritis knee patients has shown some very positive results. Patients most of whom had undergone all other treatments but to no avail and had been advised knee replacement were treated with this new technique. Almost all patients responded very well and could walk without the need for pain killer drugs which they could not do earlier. The new method is non-invasive and painless and requires just half an hour treatment a day for 21 days.
The device developed by CARD with clinical support from the IAM, delivers high-intensity quantum magnetic resonance beams (as is done in an MRI machine) from 288 specialized guns that are focused on to a particular tissue. The focus is not just location but also proton density based so that no other tissue is affected. “Rotational Field Nuclear Quantum Magnetic Resonance (RFQMR),” the beams produced by the Cytotron, alters cell division so that the cells are stimulated multiply. This leads to regeneration and repair of joint cartilage saving the patients from joint replacement surgery. The treatment is safe requiring no anaesthesia or hospital stay.
